The Elk Shed is the cocktail spot each evening and opens each evening at 5:00 for your early libations pleasure. The Ranch bell rings three times a day calling you to the Dining Porch, or to the Saturday barbecue dinner on the Pool Lawn, for delectable meals and fine hearty table fare to please most palates. Our trained team of skilled chefs prepare a sundry array of “home cooked” meals, fresh baked goods, sizzling breakfasts, and a “Kid Bar” for the young ones (of all ages!) who just want to eat and run. We serve as much organic and non-GMO food as is available. We, carefully, select our meats, vegetables and fruits including locally bought greens and other vegetables, chickens and turkeys from the local community where the birds are raised cage-and antibiotic-free. Each meal is especially curated.
We’re very conscious about making sure that all kids’ meals are nutritious, as well as, appealing for them! No one goes hungry around here! After lunch and dinner each day, the Kitchen is open for ice cream cones. Although there is no cooking allowed, there are always snacks available.
Dining is the time to relax and refresh yourself, to share the stories of the day and to re-energize for all of the activities ahead. We want you to completely enjoy your time on the HF Bar Ranch. Dinners are set up so that you can eat leisurely and be out in time for the evening ride. Those who take all-day picnic rides or choose to skip the evening ride often gather
Echoes of laughter and conversations as people describe their various adventures. Kids can run and play on the lawns and these fun times can be carried on late into the evening if you migrate to the
the Broken Spear Saloon or Rock Creek Rod & Gun Club that are rocking afterwards with music and fun, until 10 p.m. or so. Various local music events happen each week along with a rollicking dance on Thursdays. There are always evening games like Scrabble and Caton can be had along with plain old jolly camaraderie which prevails everywhere!
